We all sat here smug in the UK laugthing at how AT&T treated their customers but sadly UK its time we get the same treatment. I hear you ask 'What are they doing now?'

Well they are taking away our unlimited data transfer from smartphone users!

I know they are claiming half of us do not use high enougth usage to use up our data limit - however this must screw with the downloading of songs. Does anyone else know what other providers will be offering?

It may be time to join a new provider!

The iPhone also comes with the new software version which has been cleverly named iOS (I really hope some one is not paid to come up with names). This software is a huge step up as is the phone.

There are 100 new or enhanced features in the updated OS, not surprisingly not all 100 were listed during the press conference but there were 7 key features or 'tentpole features' as they were called.

1. Multitasking
2. Folder
3. Enhanced Email
4. iBooks for iPhone
5. Enterprise
6. Game center
7. iADs

So what are these features all about?

Multitasking probably needs no introduction, it's what iPhone owners have been crying out for since the outset. The implementation looks good though.

Double click the home button and a window raises that shows me all the apps that are running. You can jump into the iTunes store out of the app while music plays... so you can buy music. Now when you're on Skype, you can switch to another app, and you get a double-high status bar.

Folder: Now rather than just organising your installed apps in different pages on the iPhone you'll have the ability to create folders to group things so for example: I want to make a folder with games in it. I have several games, so I just push my finger on an app, they start to jiggle. and I just drag one app on top of another and it instantly makes a folder.

Enhanced Email: The answer to Matt's prayers, multiple Exchange email support! Unified inbox with all you mail, regardless of the source, shown in one place. "Now if you want to focus on one account, we've added fast inbox switching. In addition we've added the option to organize by thread."

iBooks for iPhone: Little explanation required here but after iBooks debut on the iPad it seems logical to include on the iPhone!

Enterprise: Making improvements to the iPhone to make it more viable as an enterprise device.

"Here's some great features for enterprise. We have some really nice features here. Starting with even better data protection." Better data protection, mobile device management, wireless app distribution. Support for multiple Exchange accounts, Exchange Server 2010, and new VPN options.

Game center: "We want to make gaming even better on the iPhone -- so we added a social gaming network." "We have 50,000 games. Let's compare that to the competition... the PSP and DS... we blow them out of the water".

iADs: It may sound like some sexually transmitted disease but it's Apples new Mobile Advertising network. Simple structure and 60/40 split. "We have a lot of free or reasonably priced apps... we like that, but our devs have to find ways to make money. So our devs are putting ads into apps, and for lack of a better way to say it, we think most of this kind of advertising sucks."

We should of all known from the start, that this stolen/found iPhone 4G must be one cursed motherf**ker. I am sure the engineer that lost it was probally beaten to a pulp (joke, please dont sue me Jobs, or raid my house) before being sacked but poor old Gidzmo editor house was raided by police on Mr Jobs order.

Well this case is all heading to court and I suspect Apple are throwing millions of dollars at the case - and Gidzmo well probally not.

Well since your love slowly started to dwindle out and then bang, out of no where HTC banged out slick phones with the best phone OS there is Android and your iPhone got dusty.

What if I told you, your sexy looking iPhone could run android, what would you say?

Well one young hacker has done exactly this - there are a few bugs as expected and runs kinda slow but it is running in debug mode.

So if they could get this working well and easy to install using a jailbreak method would you run it?

Well Apple have done it again they released 4.0 software then a leaked photo makes its way on to the net to do the rounds. Looks like another day at Apple causing a stir about there next version of the iPhone.

Well we have the picture of the 4G below (if that is what it really is) and a short video of the 4.0 software which is official.

There is one thing we should expect is an announcment from Apple in June in regards to the iPhone as this is how they role. I suspect a 4G is coming.

Check out the leaked photo - not really much to be excited about.

There are rumours that the new iPhone will be unveiled in June, and will feature an eight megapixel camera with flash, more storage and a front-mounted camera. The iPhone 4.0 software update, which was revealed by Apple last week, will also add multi-touch capabilities to the device.

A return to the aluminium form factor would make sense for Apple. It's very first iPhone, launched in July 2007, had an aluminium back, as does its latest gadget, the iPad, which went on sale in the United States earlier this month. Shoppers in the UK will have to wait until late May to get their hands on the touch-screen, tablet style computer, after Apple pushed back the launch date, citing "overwhelming" demand.

Fortunatly for people like us it does not look to far away from a jailbreak. It has inly taken 24 hours for hackers to gain access to the iPads shell over SSH and WiFi.

We are not yet aware of how this is done and I am sure a handy tool will be in the pipework so any semi technical savi PC user can do this.

Out of what I have seen the 4G networks being set up around the world has been pretty unsuccessful. Well we will have to see, usually iPhone products are announced in June.

Untill then check out this video that has been released, I am not going to lie I kind of  like the look and design.

No new features what a Jailbroken phone could not already do, but because of these changes I am bringing you a follow up on a previous article I wrote. I hope these suggestions help.

LiveCliq

Since my first article where I recommend you guys to use a great tool called Qik where you were able to live stream video content from your iPhone straight to the interwebs, I have found a new tool which can do this. This tool also allows you to take still pictures or store video recorded and upload later when on a WiFi network if uploading over 3G is not available.

I deffinatly recommend any users of Qik do check out this application and I promise this application will become your best friend.

Backgrounder

Any iPhone loving user will love this application. Ever found multitasking on the iPhone is impossible and would love to have several applications running in the background at once? Well with Backgrounder this is a reality. A simple hold of the home button and your application is put in the background at the exact point you left it. Then when you require the application you can restore it from the exact point you left it.

SBSettings

This application is also a must have for the simple reason that it makes it so much easier for any iPhone user to keep on top of the settings on your device. SBSettings is a jailbreak application that brings various toggle switches directly to iPhone's home screen that are available in the Settings app.

The application also gives the user an easier way to reset, reboot or shut down your iPhone and if you wish turn of the devices accelerometer so that the screen no longer toggles. Woot.

xGPS

Recently apple have allowed the TomTom GPS system go on sale on the app store, there is however of course a jailbroken iPhone alternative, which you guessed it. The application is FREE making it APPROX 60 BUCKS cheaper than the TomTom option.

Yes. Yes it does. I assume you are all wondering if the GPS system has a vocal instructions. This is a definite must have for all car drivers. Even if it is just as a back up for the GPS you already have in your car.

However it is late and I still have a few more to share with you. I think I will hold on to those though for a part three.
